Research Scheme on Power - Survey & Studies for Development of Guidelines for Optimization of Water and Waste water usage in Coal based power plants

EEC has signed a MoU with Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) for the Research Scheme of Power on “Survey & Studies for Development of Guidelines for optimization of water and Waste water usage in Coal based power plants”. 

EEC Governing body has constituted an expert group under the chairmanship of Shri D. K. Jain Ex. Director, NTPC Ltd with members from CEA, NTPC, CPRI and IIT Delhi for providing  over all guidance in the execution of this research project.

Field studies have been completed at 200 MW unit of Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadhan Nigam Ltd., 250MW unit of Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSECL) and 500 MW unit of Maharashtra State Power Generation Co. Ltd. (MAHAGENCO ).

The finding of the field study are being documented as guidelines.
