The Excellence Enhancement Centre (EEC) for Indian Power Sector is engaged in promoting Energy Efficiency and Energy Security in Indian Power Sector. During the past two years, EEC has conducted Workshops and Advanced level Training Programs on various topics including Power Plant Chemistry, Boiler Operation and Maintenance, O&M of ESP and its Performance Enhancement, Combustion Mechanism & Optimization, Heat Rate Awareness and Performance Optimisation of Steam Turbine and its Auxiliary Systems, etc.
EEC has taken up the initiative of promoting Peer to Peer cooperation and to provide a common platform for Knowledge Exchange. Under its peer to peer Cooperation program, EEC is committed to provide Technical Expertise to its member organizations for resolving O&M problems faced by them and facilitate adoption of best practices for improving power plant performance.
EEC in association with VGB, Germany has also taken up a show case project on “Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modelling of ESP” in one of the 500 MW generating units at Ramagundam STPS of NTPC.
I am happy to note that EEC has planned to take up many technical programmes in coming months relevant to improving performance of Indian Power Sector. EEC is a nonprofit and member driven society, I therefore, appeal to all stake holders earnestly to support and contribute towards achieving our common goal by becoming a member of EEC.
